Quincy Jones talks Playground Sessions, Meeting Martin Luther King & Ray Charles

HONORING QUINCY JONES’ IMPACT ON THE FUTURE WITH PLAYGROUND SESSIONS ON EVE OF RRHoF

On the evening before the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, we will celebrate Quincy Jones’ contribution to the future of music education.

Mr. Jones, along with Chris Vance, have founded Playground Sessions, a new web-based program that teaches students to play the piano on their home computers. It is destined to play an important role in the future of music education.

Referred to as the “Rosetta Stone” of music by the Associated Press, Playground Sessions uses the biggest hits from chart-topping artists for its lessons. The result is a fun, contemporary lesson on par with private instruction accessible to those who do not have music education programs.

*Quincy Jones will be the recipient of the Ahmet Ertegun Award for Lifetime Achievement at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame event.*
